Lumberyard is a free, open-source (but with a restrictive licence) game making tool recently released by Amazon (yeah, that Amazon). It's pretty Unity-like, and based on CryEngine.
The Open 3D Engine (AKA: O3DE) is a free, open-source (but with a permissive licence) game making tool built upon CryEngine and Amazon's Lumberyard.

Documentation's already in a fairly useful state!
It still has a lot of developers from Amazon and other skeevy companies. The project is run by the Linux Foundation.

The Open 3D Engine (AKA: O3DE) is a free, open-source (but with a permissive licence) game making tool built upon CryEngine and Amazon's Lumberyard.

It still has a lot of developers from Amazon and other skeevy companies. The project is run by the Linux Foundation.
