If you're curious about Linux I suggest you give it a go! The easiest way is to create what's called a live CD, which lets you try an operating system without having to install anything: you reboot your computer and run it straight from a USB or disc drive.

Two distributions I would recommend for beginners are Ubuntu and EndeavourOS. Distro choice is not super important though, just pick one!
