The Open 3D Engine (AKA: O3DE) is a free, open-source (but with a permissive licence) game making tool built upon CryEngine and Amazon's Lumberyard.

It still has a lot of developers from Amazon and other skeevy companies. The project is run by the Linux Foundation.
